I’ll call this another Keto Sunday and that means let the cycle begin. Cut the carbs and the let fat loss for the week begin. I never know how to feel starting the cycle on Sunday, should I feel excited for even more potential weight loss. Should I feel apprehensive, that it will be a week where my weight doesn’t budge and I maintain my current weight status. Then I have to weight for a whole new week to start the whole process all over again. I guess its just one of this things, to think about while dieting.

Well I guess, all the popcorn and potatoes caught up to me again. My weight is up a little bit more, but I can handle this. I need to get out of the 210 to 215 groove I am in and drop down to the 205 to 210 groove. I think that would be a lot better. When I get down to 203lbs that would put me at 40lbs weight loss. Oh guess what I had for breakfast today, nope not eggs. I had the left over chickens wings from dinner which was the equivalent of 5 wings. Between breakfast and lunch, I went on a ride with my wife. For lunch I had 6 ounces of chicken thighs and 2 100 calorie packs of wholly guacamole. During the afternoon I took C4 then hit the gym to work on chest for about an hour. I then came home, had two scoops of pumpkin whey protein from Tiger fitness and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. For dinner we went out, we went down to Harrah’s Casino, went into one of the restaurants there. I had very large cobb salad, which actually kind of felt bloating afterwards. My total estimated calories was 1935, 31 grams of carbs, 131 grams of fat and 169 grams of protein.

It is another Saturday on the Keto diet, I am feel great. Despite having almost eating a green chicken breast, the diet continues to work. The keto cycling diet does work, you just need to put the effort into it. You need to have patience to be successful on  the diet. The other thing you need is perseverance, to continue to be successful. Like me, my weight loss has slowed considerably but I still, continue to be persistent every week, because of my one goal in focus. I think if everyone else trying this could keep focus, you could all be successful.

Well as expected, after eating a bunch of potatoes, I have gained some weight. I almost guarantee 100% I will be able to get rid of this because it is mostly water retention from the carbohydrates in my system. Well today was different we went flying to Ocean City, NJ for breakfast. Please check out my flying page for the story. For breakfast there  I had 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, some potatoes and 2 pancakes. Then we flew back, and I went and napped. During the afternoon I got hungry, I popped some popcorn with some butter as a snack. There was a heat wave going in southeast Pennsylvania, so no much to do outside. During the mid evening we went on a motorcycle ride. Around 8 pm we headed to dinner across the street a local bar. I had chicken wings and a beer their. I am estimating my calories to be around 2000. See here was another weekend I might of fallen off the keto calorie diet, but hopefully it will not have any affect during this week with progress to continue down in weight loss. Maybe I will see 207 lbs this week, but I might have to adjust calories like I had mentioned before, down to 1600 or less, then see what happens from there.

I made it to another carb-loading day on keto. Like I have said quite a few times, I do look forward to this part of the week on the diet. Today was great for another reason as well, I have dropped 1 more pound. If I can get down another 18 pounds I would really be happy down there. Long term I am still aiming for 180 lbs. Keto has worked for me with some great patience. I also did a body fat comparison from last week till now and that has gone down as well, I call this all little baby steps.

Well there is my comparison, not much but it  is progress. Today I had off from work to enjoy a 4 day weekend. I had 3 eggs to start. For lunch I had 8 ounces of  chicken thighs and  two 100 calorie packs of  wholly. guacamole. During the afternoon I had a 2 scoops of carbs 10 in a shake and 2 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein both from Tiger fitness. I went to the gym worked back and shoulders for about an hour. Then I did 45 minute of cardio on an elliptical. Dinner is where things go interesting for the my day. I bought a whole chicken to rotisserie, garlic Parmesan recipe I found. I also bought some potatoes and made rosemary baked potatoes. All was good until we saw the picture below, yes that chicken breast is green.

Apparently this is what happens when you try to make the chicken too big to fast. This basically ruined our dinner. We each had a serving before finding this in the center of the chicken breast. Dinner though I did eat a bunch of potatoes. I am guessing I ate around 2000 calories, but the chicken really through me off and my wife as well.

Well I honestly can say I can’t believe I have last this long on a keto diet. I know the past six weeks my weight loss as slowed significantly but, as you know I am happy with any progress. I was looking up keto online and I found someone who had been eating a high fat diet for 15 years. I’ll have to go find the article and put a link in here for all to read. I will continue to stay on this diet. If I can just get to 190 lbs I would be really happy. I think a few months from now I will be there.

The other way to test on a keto diet if it is working is to test your body fat. I will be doing that tomorrow, so lets really test if this diet is working. When I woke up I had 3  scrambled eggs, yep still haven’t change that because its easy and fast cooking. I had a snack between breakfast and lunch of  1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. For lunch I stuck with my 6 ounces of chicken and 100 calorie packs of guacamole. My afternoon snack was another 1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein from tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. Since I was starting a 4 day weekend I decided to bail on the gym. I waited for my wife to get home. Then we went I had about ten chicken wings and a scotch egg. If you have not tried a scotch egg, go to your local irish bar and try it. Once in a while, while on a diet you do need to  add some other interesting foods, to help your mental state health. I am pretty sure I was over calories, but my macros were probably fairly close for the day. I guess I will find out tomorrow morning.

Who would of thought keeping up a blog on keto would of been so much work. I miss one day, I need to back fill the next to update my followers about what has been going on. Well as for today I don’t have any update weight wise. Like I have been saying I might have to do a calorie adjustment just to see what is happening. It seems I have hit a plateau on keto but I guess friday will tell the whole story. Friday is a day I look forward too every week while doing a this diet, I get drink a delicious carb shake from tiger fitness.

To be honest I think if I had like 4 solid weeks of not going to parties or going out I would be down some more weight by now. Breakfast I had 3 eggs scrambled, nothing really exciting here sorry.  I had my usual snack of pumpkin pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and olive oil. Lunch was 6 ounces of chicken and 2 100 calorie packs of wholly guacamole. I had an afternoon snack of pumpkin pie whey protein and olive oil. Adding olive oil to your protein shake really makes it fuller, I am not hungry after drinking it the stuff really works. Everyone gets grossed out by putting olive oil in a protein shake, but once you try it you will understand why I like it so much. I was off today from the gym, so I went flying. Which by the way as soon as get more time I will update the other pages on this blog. I know I have been promising you another story I promise a motorcycle one or flying one by the end of the weekend. For dinner I had a 4 ounce pork chop, 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. My total calories for the day were 1656, 17 grams of carbs, 116 grams of fat and 146 grams of protein.

I am starting to think I am going to need a keto calorie adjustment. My weight has been steady between 211 and 215 for a month or two. Like I said earlier I might have to reduce calories again, that is unless the end of week I see another big drop in my weight on friday. Go figure I am on the final stretch I hit a plateau, maybe I will just kick up the cardio. This could help me burn more calories before I start the caloric reduction, calorie reduction could be a bit of a challenge.  I am 1700 calories going to 1600 or even 1500 might be the last boost, I a just not ready for this.

Keto does work, so does calorie counting. This makes me think of how I go about adjusting my daily food intake to see that significant weight loss. I am so close to 190 I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. For breakfast I had 3 hard boiled eggs. I had a mid morning snack of 1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein and 1 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. Lunch was 6 ounces of grilled chicken and 2 100 calorie packs of wholly guacamole. I had a mid afternoon snack of 1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. I hit the gym for 50 minutes working back and shoulders. I did 4 sets of 12, my shoulders and back were screaming after that workout. For dinner I had 10 ounces of swordfish, 8 ounces of broccoli, 1 tablespoon of butter and 4 teaspoon of spicy sriracha. Maybe I will keep the calories the same but adjust to eating higher fiber vegetables like I have been doing this week. Fiberous vegetables are extremely healthy and are great at keeping you full in between meals. My total calories were 1702, 28 grams of carbs, 120 grams of fat and 180 grams of protein. I really hit the protein intake very well.

For the at least the next two weeks in keto I will be be maintaining my current calorie intake. If after watching what I eat during carb loading, I am still unable to lose weight I will be dropping down to 1600 calories.This would give me a greater weight loss advantage but it will be extremely difficult. The less calories I eat the more difficult it will became for me to not got nuts. This would just be another challenge to make it to my weight loss goal. I would think of it as a stepping stone or obstacle that is just all part of the weight lose challenge itself as whole. As of this morning I am just happy to see the start of weight loss after a major pig out this weekend.

I have switched my breakfast up yet, I do not planning on doing it either, so I stuck to my 3 hard boiled eggs this morning. I have really come to like the Tiger fitness product line. That is why I think I am going to stick with them and keep trying new protein flavors. As for today I still had my morning snack of 1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin whey protein and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. As far as lunch goes I do mix it up between proteins I have. If you remember months ago I was eating canned tuna everyday. For today I stuck with 6 ounces of chicken and 2 packs wholly guacamole. Like I said earlier I will continue to stick with tiger fitness, the afternoon I had 1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin pie and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. as well. I took C4 pre-workout prior to going to the gym. At the gym I worked chest for about 45 minutes. I tried to do cardio but my legs where still sore from saturday so I only did 25 minutes of cardio today. I had been saying I needed more vegetables for dinner I did just that. I had 6 ounces of salmon, 8 ounces of broccoli and 2 tablespoons of butter. My total calories for the day where 27 grams of carbs, 108 grams of fat and 158 grams of protein. I think I will continue to eat this amount of broccoli or spinach or some other green vegetable.

As I expected all the pigging out caught up to me as of this morning on keto. Like I said yesterday you really shouldn’t pay attention to the scale. The thing I pay attention to most is how my clothing is fitting. As of recently everything is way too big. I was out of state for work one day visiting a co-worker offsite and he asked me what had happened to me, like I was sick or something. Clothing will definitely be the true test of what is going on with any weigh loss. So my suggestion is if you are trying to lose weight, go more by how your clothing is fitting not if the scale is moving or not. Your body will give up the weight when it wants to as well.

I started this cycle like I did every other Sunday, for breakfast I had 3 hard boiled eggs, no surprise at all. Lunch was 6 ounces of chicken and 2 mini cups of wholly guacamole. I had planned on going to the gym this afternoon but after coming back from running an errand,  my wife and I decided to do something else.  We went riding for a couple hours during this afternoon. We needed to get out, the weather in the northeast has been horrible. This rain has been going on and on, every weekend. So we decided with  an opening with the weather being better than what the forecast was and we took our motorcycles out for a bike ride. I promise this week I will run a post on my outdoor adventure page for you to read how great it is to ride. During the ride we went out to dinner with my parents to out back steak house, I had a shrimp caesar salad. Then we came home and it was a little later, I got hungry made a protein cake; 2 scoops of pumpkin whey protein from Tiger fitness, 2 tablespoons of olive, 1 egg, some baking powder and some water. My total calories for the day was 1680, 42 grams of carbs, 114 grams of fat  and 136 grams of protein.

Like I had expected on Keto carb load day my weight has gone up. This is always normal and I am completely used to it after doing keto diet for so long. The diet overall is not difficult, however it does take some time to adjust to like anything else. For those that have been following me, the diet works, but remember it takes time. Even when I get down to 185lbs or 190lbs, I am still going to follow this just to maintain my weight. I have realized your really don’t carbs in your daily diet to even survive. If we think millions of years ago cavemen were just eating meat from animals. I asked myself why do we eat foods, that our body really does not need at all. Is it just for the taste or satisfaction. Everyone knows that sugars and carbohydrates cause inflammation, thus why people gain weight.

I love have diner style breakfast I just love it. Breakfast on this fine saturday morning was a cheese omlette,  rye toast, potatoes and a side of pork roll. I hadn’t had pork roll in a long time boy was good. After breakfast we hit the gym and did 45 minutes of leg exercise. My cousin had graduated grad school so we headed to my aunt and uncles house for a barbecue. I had baked chicken legs, baked beans, pork barbecue and some other treats. I really tried to watch what I ate today as well considering yesterday I really pigged out and went over board.  The party at my aunts and uncles ended early so we headed home. We were both craving popcorn so I we rented the movie Deadpool and I popped two full bowls of popcorn. This was one of those weekends you need to have once in while, psychologically it helps with weight loss. I expect I will be up more weight tomorrow morning, but remember it is mostly water weight.

As of Wednesday on keto, I have not lost any more weight. This does not matter to me since I am still down more weight then last week. Like I have said any little bit to me is progress. Everyone in awhile you need to treat yourself or go completely over board, well sort of on this statement. Today was I day I decided to indulge completely in food I have not had in a while.  While keto is a very strict regimented diet, you need to go off course every once so often as to go nuts or get board of eating the same thing over and over again.

This day started off your typical keto carb load friday. I had 3 eggs , with  1/2 cup of onions sauteed in 1 tablespoon of butter. I had snack of 1 1/2 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. For lunch I had 6 ounces swai and 6 tablespoons of guacamole. My afternoon snack consisted of 2 scoops of carb 10 from Tiger fitness, another 1 1/4 scoops of pumpkin pie whey protein and some planters nuts. I took some C4 and glutamine, then headed to the gym. I worked my arms for 45 doing 4 sets 12 for 6 exercises on biceps and another 6 exercises for triceps. The keto indulging is what happened next at my nieces birthday party. I ate like 2 pieces of pizza, tried a small slice of a calzone, 4 or 5 ribs, some chicken wings and dessert. The dessert was like diabetic nightmare, carrot cake with cream cheese icing. The icing was so sweet, I was actually starting to feel sick after eating  it. I don’t know if indulge is the correct  I think I more or less just pigged out for the first time in awhile. Like I said in the beginning you need to do this once in a while and ignore the scale for a while. Your system meaning your body will adjust. I think it is just good to treat yourself maybe once a month or once every 6 weeks, depending on how your diet is going.
