Day 268 6/1 keto diet 7/28/2016

As of right now, I am convinced I will see 203.6 lbs or less this week on keto. This is my on going months of patience that will finally pay off. After this, I can concentrate on getting my body fat lower by losing even more weight. A few weeks ago, my body fat was reading 21%, my ultimate goal is between 8%-12%. This means I am going to continue down to my goal weight of 180 pounds. One thing I need to add is that I have to go to a doctor to get a lengthy bit of blood work done soon. This is just precautionary that I have not elevated my cholesterol or triglycerides.

204.4 keto

Today was another boring dull day of three scrambled eggs with some hot sauce. I had a snack in the morning of one scoop of apple pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. For lunch I ate  4 ounces of ground bison and two 100 calorie packs of wholly guacamole. In the afternoon I had another snack of one scoop of apple pie whey protein from tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil.

After work I headed to the gym. I decided to run on treadmill, I had not run in months. I ended up running a 5k, which I finished surprisingly fast.  Considering how long it had been since I had run I was quite impressed on a 29 minutes 5k. It actually felt really good to run. Of coarse now I will try to improve my running time in the upcoming weeks. My ultimate running goal is to run 4 miles in 28 minutes. The funny thing is I was never a runner when I was younger. Anyway I ended the day on keto, with dinner. I had two turkey burgers with cheese for dinner. My total calories for 1632,19 grams of carbs, 116 grams of fat and 139 grams of protein.

Day 267 6/1 keto diet 7/27/2016

As this week is progressing on keto, so is my excitement. Just as I expected though, as of right now I have lost a little bit more weight. It seems the buffet from the beginning of the week has negatively impacted weight loss for a few days. I am still confident, this is the week where I will finally see 40 pounds of weight loss. As you all know this is all I have been talking about for weeks. So for you, my viewers sake, I hope I do see the 203.6 pounds this week. At least after, then I will find something else to talk about with my subscribers. In the meantime, I hope I am not boring you guys and gals.

205.4 keto

Once again I had three scrambled eggs as my breakfast. I had a protein shake from Tiger fitness, my usual apple pie flavor and 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil. For lunch, I had 4 ounces of ground bison meat and two 100 calorie packs of wholly guacamole. In the afternoon I had another scoop of apple pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil.

Today was an off day from the gym. I ended up coming home and relaxing on my couch. I have said it before and I will say it again, off days from the gym are just good for your all around health. There are some weeks I do not take any time off there are other weeks I do what I did today and skip the gym once during the week.  Dinner came around, I had 8 ounces of swai and a turkey burger with cheese. I kept well within my calories and macros for today. This should keep me on track for the rest of the week. My total calories for today were 1602, 19 grams of carbs, 114 grams of fat and 146 grams of protein.

 

 

Day 266 6/1 keto diet 7/26/2016

Well yesterday on keto, must of affected potential weight loss. The buffet yesterday was not controlled by myself well enough, as I should of seen some weight loss today. I should be able to recover this weight loss with the rest of week and hopefully see the 40 pound as I would like to see. Everyday presents it’s own unique challenge like Monday did, it is how you react to the challenge that shows the person you are. This is especially true on diet regardless of a keto or not.  These couple months have been a huge challenge for myself to stay on the diet with temptations of different food everyday.

206.6 keto diet

My breakfast again was three scrambled eggs with hot sauce as usual.I had a mid morning snack around 10 am of one scoop of apple pie whey protein from tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. For lunch, I had 4 ounces of bison meat which I had made meatloaf from and two 100 calorie pack of wholly guacamole. In the afternoon I had another scoop of apple pie whey protein and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. I then took some C4 pre-workout and headed to the gym.

At the gym, I did  an hour of spinning for cardio. I really felt good after that round of cardio. While on keto diet or any diet cardio is always a great thing to help aid weight loss. Even the lightest bit of cardio can help someone lose weight, like going on a simple walk. Cardio does multiple different things to help the human body. It gives exercise to your and lungs. Exercise also raises serotonin levels in the brain to make you feel good. After my workout I had dinner which was 10 ounces of swai and some cesar dressing. At the end of today I ended up with 1572 calories, 23 grams carbs, 113 grams of fat and 132 grams of protein.

Day 265 6/1 keto diet 7/25/2016

Is this the week I see 40 pounds lost on keto? Judging by this morning weigh in this could possibly be the week for another milestone in my diet. This morning has started off on a very positive leg to say the least. This weight loss is all I have been talking about for weeks. Like I have said patience and persistence pays off or eventually will it most cases. This week will definitely be a test regardless of I see the weight loss expected or not. And as always there is always next week if needed. I will reiterate slow and steady is the best form of weight loss keto or not.

206.6 keto diet

This morning I woke and had three eggs scrambled with hot sauce. I had a mid morning snack of one scoop of apple pie whey protein from Tiger fitness  and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. At work, we went out for lunch today. It ended up being a buffet. I got just a salad bar buffet, hoping I would not destroy the great start for the week I had seen this morning. At the buffet, I had two large bowls of salad, while everyone else was eating all the high carb food on the regular buffet.

After the buffet, I opted not to have a protein shake in the afternoon. The buffet from lunch had left me really full. At the end of the day, I went to the gym to work back and shoulders. I was there for about 50 minutes,and got a really good work out in. When I got home the only thing I had for dinner was one scoop of apple pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. I am estimating that I was within my macro and calories for the day.

Day 264 6/1 keto diet 7/24/2016

I can not believe how long I have been keeping this blog about keto going and how long I have been sticking to this diet. Today, I realized that I have been on this diet for almost 9 months. This is the most I have stuck to a diet or anything in general. The dieting commitment, is really a shock to me that I have lasted so long. It has really been difficult for me to stay so committed on this diet. This blog has helped me stay on track so long. I think with out the blog I would of given up by now.

207.4 keto

Like the past couple Sundays I am going to be under my caloric goal for the day. This seems to be helping me get into keto faster. Today I managed to be well under 1660 calories for the day. Breakfast, I had three eggs scrambled with some hot sauce. I went to church and then to the gym in the morning. I worked chest for about 45 minutes. After the gym, I went to eat lunch.I had six ounces of chicken breast and eight tablespoons of guacamole.

The afternoon was miserable, the heat was horrible. I had to change the oil on my wife’s car in the heat. Luckily I was able to let it cool down. I got that done and went home to eat dinner. My dinner was eight ounces of salmon, one turkey burger with monterey jack cheese, 8 tablespoons of guacamole and one tablespoon of olive oil. My total calorie were 1335, 29 grams of carbs, 84 grams of fat and 119 grams of protein. I am hoping being under my caloric goal by three hundred calories will really help my diet for the week. Tomorrow’s morning weigh in will really speak the truth on that. Maybe I will see the 40 pounds finally.

Day 263 6/1 keto diet 7/23/2016

Well as expected after carb loading last night on keto I have put on a little of weight. I must remind everyone most of the weight put on is water retention from all the carbohydrates. After doing the keto diet for this long, I am still amazed at how you body reacts to having so little carbohyrates in it. This diet to me really has shown how you do not need carbohydrates or sugar in your body to survive and function. One thing to remember is what type of fat is going into your system. If you are trying this diet it needs to be healthy fats on all diets not just keto.

207.2 keto

For breakfast today, I had a donut with creme filling and a turkey burger. This is not my typical breakfast and it felt great to have something different then eggs. For lunch I had something completely different as well popcorn and protein shake from Tiger fitness. Then I headed to the gym I worked legs and then did some spinning. I have read that doing spinning or cycling after working legs helps prevent muscle soreness days after. I left the gym and headed to another party.

Like, last night I really let myself enjoy food. I kept thinking about the scale, and what it would look like in the morning. Then I thought, well I could just maintain the keto diet and slowly lose weight so I do not have to worry that much. I keep telling myself my body will get down to weight when it is time too.  This probably the 100th time I have brought this topic up. Do not set a timeline for when you need to get down weight you will ultimately fail. Just take your time and track your macros, everything else will fall into place.

Day 262 6/1 keto diet 7/22/2016

Well it is Friday on keto and it looks like I fell short one more week. I am so close to being down a full 40 pounds I can feel it. It is another let down, but I have still progressed to lose even more weight. Even though I did not quite get the weight tot where I would like it, I am still making progress. Remember slow and steady wins the race for weight loss. I will say it again you do no want to rush massive amounts of weight loss because you will end up gaining it back in the long run anyways.

204 keto

Well today is carb loading day my favorite part of the week. My breakfast this morning was three eggs scrambled. I had a mid morning snack of one scoop of apple pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. For lunch I had 6 ounces of chicken and 8 tablespoons guacamole. In the afternoon I took two scoops of carb 10 and one scoop of apple pie whey protein. I also took some C4 preworkout and then headed to the gym. I worked arms for about a 45 minutes.

Then, I headed to my nephews for his birthday. He was turning 6. I had pizza, cookie, chips, rice and some chicken quite the different array of food. I also had some cake. The cake was a little much considering I have not been eating much sugar for months, so this ended up making me feel sick. I am pretty sure, I am way over my calories for today. I am guessing upwards of 3500 for today. Days like today are needed. They really help with you metabolism and psychologically. That one day a week really puts you metabolism into overload especially on keto. So in my opinion have a cheat meal.

Day 261 6/1 keto diet 7/21/2016

It is another Thursday on keto, I am away and have no idea if I have lost anymore because I am away with no scale. This to me is good thing. I have talked about how routine can be an evil thing and changing routine could be a good thing. I really do believe this as a fact. We are creatures of habit, if you really think about it. Breaking a habit is really hard when you have been doing it for years and years. So anytime you break habit or routing I consider that an extremely good thing to do.

205.2 keto

For breakfast in my hotel room, we had some cheesy omlets, pork and turkey sausage to start the day. This was not half bad for hotel food. The rest of the day we drove home. It us unfortunate  where we had to stop for lunch, McDonalds. For lunch there I had a bacon ranch salad with grilled chicken. This was about the only thing I could figure that would not mess up my diet. To be honest I hate fast food. I never know if it is real food or some processed fake food. For this reason, I try to avoid fast food like a plague.

After we got back home, I had dinner which was swai, salmon, guacamole, and some olive oil. Days, like today really test your ability to choose which foods to eat while traveling. It really becomes more of a mind game more than anything. You have to think which food is going to affect you or not. When you think properly while eating out you can maintain any diet even a keto one. As long as you think about food as you are ordering you should be able to maintain the diet. My total calories for today were 1380, 42 grams of carbs, 95 grams of fat and 95 grams of protein

Day 260 6/1 keto 7/20/2016

I apologize for this being so late of post on keto this week. It has been an extremely busy week but very productive in other aspects of my life besides the blog. There are other things that interest me besides blogging. Although most of the stuff I talk about on here anyway. Fishing, flying, weightlifting and outdoors are my other hobbies, that I talk about here. I also enjoy relaxing at home and watching a good movie. Some days I like completely being off the grid and just being alone for a little bit. It is good to have a broad range of interest to keep your mind and body active.

205.2 keto

For breakfast this morning I had three scrambled eggs and some hot sauce. I had a snack at 10 am like I always do of one scoop of apple pie whey protein from Tiger fitness and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. Lunch, came around and I had 6 ounces of chicken and 8 tablespoons of guacamole. In the afternoon I had another scoop of apple of pie whey protein and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil as a snack.

I tried to go to the gym but just did not have the energy to do anything.  The keto diet really does mess with you and your energy especially when you get into cycle on it. Some of my weeks are better than others when it comes to Wednesday and Thursday energy levels. There days I have to force myself to go into the gym to workout. The lack of carbohydrates can really have an affect on someone trying to get to the gym as much as possible. When this happens, you need to just push through and force yourself to go to the gym for that little work out. To end my meals for the day, I had 10 ounces of swai. My total calories were 1487, 21 grams of carbs, 98 grams of fat and 142 grams of protein.

Day 259 6/1 keto diet 7/19/2016

I am starting to have my doubt on keto this week about my weight loss. This was supposed to be the week I saw 40 pound weight loss. I, however am starting to highly doubt I will see the weight loss this week. If not this week maybe next week. I apologize for posting so man days late. I have been extremely busy and have not had time to keep the blog going how I would like it to. In the next couple weeks, I might only be posting on weekends do to other things going in my life. I promise, I will update this at some point during the week.

207.2 keto

As you can see, I have lost some weight since the beginning of the week which is always a good thing. I will reiterate, baby steps and any progress is positive. Lunch came around I had 6 ounces of chicken and 120 grams of guacamole. In the afternoon I had a snack of  one scoop of apple pie whey protein and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil.

After work I went to the gym and did cardio for an hour. Yes, an hour of spinning was what I did. This was one of the best cardio workouts I have had in long time. I do think I over did how long I was doing cardio however. The gym I go to has fitness on demand which is great, I get to chose classes to do. I came home from the gym and had dinner. I had 10 ounces of swai with some guacamole. My total calories for today were 1687, 31 grams of carb, 116 grams of fat and 142 grams of protein.
